PRAYER WALK OCTOBER 24 2020!! “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their lands”. 2 Chronicles 7:14

We as the United Methodist Church in Shenandoah, are inviting the larger Christian community to join together in prayer for the healing of our Nation. Though we may not always think alike, may it be that we can love alike and pray alike. Not in our power or for our ends, but that the will of God may teach us all that is required for the healing of our lands and our communities.

We invite you to join us on Saturday, October 24th (assemble at 10:45 am) start at 11 to walk with us from church to church that we might pray for peace and justice, and the Kingdom of God to break forth in our lands, at the intersection of Church St and E. Clarinda Ave. in Shenandoah.

The route will take us towards Howards Clothing on Sheridan Ave. We will pray somewhere along with Sheridan for the merchants and our town.
• We will head West to Maple St, South on Maple to New Beginnings Church (prayer)
-½ milers go east on 5th or 6th Ave back to Church Street
• 1 miler continue south to 8th Ave prayer at Baptist Church.
• East on 8th Ave to Church Street
• Turn North to rejoin ½ milers at the Congregational and Episcopal Churches (prayer)
-Continue north on Church St to West Thomas where we will finish in front of the Catholic and Methodist Churches for a final prayer

We ask that social distancing and masking procedures be maintained.
